To encourage innovations is to encorage the growth of domestic economy
The support is primarily oriented towards small and middle enterprises, which represent a major force of Croatian economy
In the highly competitive surrounding of today's global market, where business deals are made in no time, there is an ever-increasing need for new ideas and innovations. For it is with new and innovative products, adjusted to the needs of the market, that a company can gain advantage over strong market competitors. The competitive advantage of a company, and even of the overall economy of a country, lies in innovations and the way of applying them. However, the way to come from an innovative idea to a commercial product may be extremely long and hard. This is where HPB (Croatian Postal Bank) saw an opportunity for action, and became aware of its own responsibility to give active encouragement to Croatian innovations, being itself one of the pillars of the country's economic development. By encouraging innovations, a positive surrounding is created for the development of competitive products, which is a boost to our economy.
Our goal is to encourage the gaining of knowledge by investing in science and education, and knowledge is the main precondition for a competitive economy. The next thing is to give our financial support so that knowledge and innovative ideas could be transformed into actual development schemes. The support is primarily oriented towards small and middle enterprises, which represent a major force of Croatian economy and which are now facing the biggest challenge so far – to adjust to the requirements of the global market. To encourage development and innovative abilities of small and middle enterprises is an imperative and an obligation of all relevant institutions of both private and public sectors, and HPB (Croatian Postal Bank), as a pillar of Croatia's economy, readily joins any initiative aimed at supporting innovative solutions in Croatia, and it will continue to do so in the future.
